SASSA Takes Services to Fernie Community

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services into the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency stated it is alarmed regarding the higher range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a high amount of clients/beneficiaries SRD to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office committed to service the area regularly. The provider point designed for intervention ordeals a large click here inflow of potential beneficiaries, which makes it complicated for your Workplace to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In sassa status this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra sources to empower the servicing of all customers and boost use of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
